As part of the PhotoEspaña 2007 Festival, Fundación Telefónica displays the work of Zhang Huan, the first retrospective in Spain by this Chinese artist, a pioneer in performances with great visual power. The situations of extreme solitude and suffering to which he submits his own body help him to reflect on different areas, including the isolation of man in the immensity of large cities, the degradation of public spaces or the jostling between man and nature.
