The Quality of the Spanish Language on the Net

This is a collective investigation which blazes a trail in dealing with the phenomenon of the bursting of new means of communication upon the media scene: the web page, electronic mail, chat, SMS, etc. and especially their repercussion on the uses of the Spanish language. The scaremongers who predicted that written language would fall into disuse as a result of the universalisation of the use of mobile telephones not only realised how wrong they had been but also witnessed a boom in writing the like of which had not been seen since the invention of the printing press. However, these instruments are not transparent; rather they influence the way we perceive and understand the world.
