The Nordic model of the information society has risen to become an international paradigm. A university research team of experts from Spain and the four Scandinavian countries provide a summary of their works and conclusions.
The dossier presented in this issue of Telos reflects on the transcendence of R&D, the advancements in telecommunications networks and services, the communication culture and communication groups, but also on the social values that have driven the extraordinary development of the Information Society in these societies. Explicitly or implicitly, the bases for comparison with the Spanish situation are given.
