
Telefónica’s Cubism Collection
To mark the opening of the exhibition Telefónica’s Cubism Collection, Fundación Telefónica published a catalogue of the same name which features essays by Eugenio Carmona, Simon Marchan Fiz, Maria Dolores Jiménez-Blanco and Diana Wechsler. Forty works by seventeen artists: Juan Gris, Manuel Ángeles Ortiz, Rafael Barradas, María Blanchard, Martín Chambi, Horacio Coppola, Albert Gleizes, Vicente Huidobro, André Lhote, Louis Marcoussis, Jean Metzinger, Emilio Pettoruti, Vicente do Rego Monteiro, Joaquín Torres García, Georges Valmier, Daniel Vázquez Díaz and Xul Solar. The catalogue also includes biographies of the artists and an extensive document appendix, with reproductions, among other documents, of the following: the manuscript by Ramon Gomez de la Serna, Resurrección de Juan Gris, letters: from Juan Gris to Vicente Huidobro, from Carl Einstein to Daniel Henry Kahnweiler, from Torres Garcia to Jacques Lipchitz, and texts on Cubism by Juan Gris, Albert Gleizes, Maurice Raynal, Léonce Rosenberg, Gertrude Stein, etc.
