Makers of the Future

The journalist Francis Pisani travelled around the world to visit the most advanced innovation centers and to interview creative people who managed to use new technologies to develop ideas that help to improve their environment. Entrepreneurs, bloggers, engineers, designers and activists from many different countries have joined Pisani in this adventure.

The book gathers together the posts Pisani wrote in real-time while he was on the ground, during the trip which took him to thirty cities in five continents. His aim then was to discover the tools needed to understand what he calls “the liquid geography of creativity and appropriation”. He believed that all the new things that everyday change our lives will soon come from other places rather than Silicon Valley, so he decided that the time had come to try on the ground the “innovation climates” in order to understand the context in which creation, innovation and the transformation of the world take place.
