ICTs in the Digital Education of the Third Millennium (3rd International Forum in Valparaíso)

This study aims to contribute to the debate on the role of ICTs in improving education. It therefore argues that ICTs could be instrumental in generating innovative knowledge and reducing social inequalities.

The 3rd International Forum in Valparaiso focused on four research studies into the impact that the use of ICTs can have on learning, the changes that technology is making possible in higher education and the relationships that are being created between technological revolution and political, social and cultural transformations.

In addition, an analysis was presented of the experience provided by the Fundación Telefónica Classrooms project, which, among other results, has led to the creation of an innovation network involving 17,000 teachers in thirteen countries in Latin America.
