ICT, Development and Inclusive Businesses
ICT, and, in particular, mobile technologies, can create positive social uses which can improve the quality of life of underprivileged members of society and help with their social integration. The use of ICT is the most simple way, indeed probably the only way in many cases, to develop and materialise health, education, business and administration services, etc.
Work needs to be done to bridge the Digital Gap and rethink traditional forms of cooperation for development. This field is known as ICT4D (Information and Communication Technologies for Development).
