Education in the Information and Knowledge Society
This book aims to contribute to the current international and national debate on the ongoing changes and those that need to be taken to adapt the educational system, and especially the university, to the current demands of quality and equality demanded by the Information Society and Knowledge. Guided by this claim, the transformations of the university system in Latin America, China, India, Russia, Europe and the United States, the application of ICT in education and its impact on innovation. It also highlights the challenges of higher education in countries with different levels of development and its relation to the participation of women and multiculturalism.
